Community Care Assistant

As a community care assistant for Bury Home Care you will bring independence back to people in the community and give them a sense of happiness along the way.

The job will consist of:

• driving to each client’s house on a specific run in the community
• having a chat with a client, learning about their needs and interests
• preparing meals for clients
• helping with personal care i.e. washing, using the toilet and assisting with dressing
• supporting clients in taking medication
• helping clients make shopping lists and sometimes shopping for them
• being attentive to changes in needs and condition
• documenting everything that has happened during the call
• liaising with, and completing a weekly report about each client, to the office

Bury Home Care holds care close to it’s heart, so we always ensure staff have:

• one to one time with management
• dedicated on-call to support staff and clients

 SALARY:

• £10.00 per hour weekday up to 8pm
• £11.00 per hour after 8pm and weekends

(pay rise pending)

We also pay 45p per visit for travel expenses and we pay your first call and last call which means you are paid to and from work.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Good standard to GCSE Level
• Experience preferred but not essential to the right candidate

Car user essential
Must have a passion for supporting vulnerable adults
